Why I teach math.
I came to the U.S. as a student myself. I know what it feels like to sit in a math class and not understand — to memorize formulas just to survive the next test.
That experience shapes how I teach. I find the exact gap each student is stuck on, and rebuild from there. Not to memorize. To understand.
저는 학생으로 미국에 왔습니다. 수학 시간에 이해 못 하고 앉아 있는 기분을 압니다. 다음 시험을 위해 공식만 외우던 경험도요.
그 경험이 제 수업 방식을 만들었습니다. 학생이 정확히 어디서 막혔는지 찾고, 거기서부터 다시 세웁니다. 암기가 아닌 이해를 위해.
